Dr. Brian is passionate about pediatric dentistry because he loves taking care of children’s teeth in a fun and friendly way. His goal is to create a positive and enjoyable experience for kids while providing the best dental care possible.
He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees from The Ohio State University. After that, he completed a specialty certificate in pediatric dentistry at Case Western Reserve University and Rainbow Baby and Children’s Hospital, where he was proud to serve as chief resident. On top of that, he holds diplomat status with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, making him board-certified in this field.
Dr. Brian is also dedicated to giving back to the community and sharing his knowledge. He often volunteers at local events offering free dental screenings and treatments in the greater Columbia area and beyond. He enjoys giving seminars to residents and fellow dental professionals about various pediatric dentistry topics. Dr. Brian is an enthusiastic member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, South Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, South Carolina Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.
When he’s not at work, Dr. Brian loves spending quality time with his wife, Heather, their three kids—Katie, Joey, and Ella—and their dog Mocha. They are all actively involved in their local church, which brings them lots of joy. In his spare time, Dr. Brian enjoys running, cycling, playing video games, and exploring the great outdoors!
Dr. Varsha Kapoor was born and raised in Kolkata, India. She moved to the US in 2000 and settled in northern Virginia. Dr. Kapoor graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Science Degree and later received her Master of Biomedical Science Degree from the University of South Carolina, School of Medicine. She then went on to pursue her dream of becoming a dentist at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Kapoor finished her Pediatric Dental Residency in 2021 at East Carolina University.
Dr. Kapoor enjoys working with children. Her love for travel has lead her on dental mission trips abroad. Dr. Kapoor is a member of the South Carolina Dental Association, The American Dental Association and American Association of Women Dentists. She has dedicated time volunteering in the SCDA Dental Access Day. Dr. Kapoor enjoys cooking and adores animals. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband, family and dog, Casper.
Dr. Kent Sharp, known affectionately to all his patients as Dr. Kent, is passionate about creating a lifetime of healthy smiles. After earning his dental degree, he completed a specialized two-year residency in pediatric dentistry, mastering the art of caring for the unique dental needs of children from infancy through their teenage years. Dr. Kent’s core belief is that dental visits can and should be a fun, positive experience, and he is dedicated to building trusting relationships with every child to ensure they always feel safe and comfortable in his care.
When he’s not in the office creating super smiles, Dr. Kent loves spending quality time with his wife and their two young children, exploring local parks and cheering on Atlanta sports teams. You can often find him on the weekends coaching his son’s soccer team or trying out a new recipe on the grill. Dr. Kent is thrilled to be a part of the community and looks forward to helping your child’s smile shine for many years to come.
